Inspect Your Equipment During Fabrication

In October Boardwalk Pipeline engineers got a close look at their EMVS electric motor ventilation system being completed at our Brookshire manufacturing plant a few minutes west of Houston. In the photograph Ron Van Til and Daniel Prather observe the unit’s simulated operation as Mueller’s Chief Technology Officer, Randy Miller monitors the air flow via laptop computer. The EMVS provides filtered ambient cooling air to the electric motor intake at a positive pressure, ensuring adequate clean air flow through the cooling air passages of the electric motor, while also venting heated exhaust air to the atmosphere. It incorporate superior noise control technology. Mueller modified this particular design, adding a variable waste gate (seen lower left) to address Boardwalk’s specific application.
We welcome clients to inspect the construction of their vessels. Our Project Managers, Kirk Dobbins and Lawrence King, will assist in matching the stage of completion you’re interested in so we can reserve you a specific date. Engineers always enjoy the life-sized “Erector Set” that is our shop, and we promise to provide true Texas hospitality. We look forward to hosting you!
